Chimney Rock State Park

431 Main St, Chimney Rock, NC 28720

This park is about a 1 hr drive from the Upstate area.

‼ This hike might be difficult for little children since there are SOOO MANY STAIR STEPS. (Unless you have a baby and you can wear them in a sling like we did 😊)
❗☀ It is too hot to try this in the summer. Fall and Spring is the time to go.

You pay to get into the park and then a shuttle (a schoolbus) will take you up the mountain on a very steep and winding road. Once you get out there is a restroom and a gift shop. This is where the climb begins, it is steps upon steps upon steps.

The view at the top is worth it! I recommend buying subway sandwiches on the drive over and enjoy your lunch at the top.

Even though going up the many steps can be difficult, it does not take long to reach the top.
